Tucker House Restoration Update

The Queen Anne’s County Historical Society is pleased to share continued progress on the restoration of the Tucker House.

Over the past year, the Society has successfully raised funds to support critical preservation efforts. These funds have allowed for continued exterior work, including preparation for façade painting and other necessary improvements to stabilize and maintain the structure.

Upon completion of the exterior painting phase, the next major priority will be roof replacement—an essential investment in the long-term protection of the building.

Tucker House remains central to the Society’s mission, serving as both a historic landmark and a space for community education and engagement.

We are deeply grateful for the support of our members, partners, and donors who make this work possible. Additional information on project phases and opportunities to contribute will be shared in the coming weeks.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Town of Centreville, Queen Anne’s County, the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Bartus Trew Preservation Grant, the Maryland Historical Trust, and most of all our patrons and members for their continued support and generosity.

“Every step forward ensures Tucker House will continue to serve our community for generations to come.”
